With over 35 years of experience in the Community Services sector, Nerida is a dedicated advocate for equity, systemic reform, and place-based solutions that support vulnerable individuals and communities. Her leadership has been instrumental in strengthening social and transitional housing services, specialist youth programs, and broader community support initiatives.
For more than two decades, Nerida has held executive roles across youth, family, and housing organisations, demonstrating expertise in governance, financial stewardship, and strategic leadership.
As the current President of Yfoundations, the NSW peak body for youth homelessness, Nerida continues to champion ethical practice, sector-wide collaboration, and system enhancements that prioritise the needs of young people and families. She is committed to fostering culturally competent, trauma-informed practices within organisations and ensuring the voices of those with lived experience are central to decision-making.
Nerida’s leadership philosophy is grounded in collaboration, continuous quality improvement, and the empowerment of teams. Her passion for ethical leadership and advocacy remains at the heart of her work, driving meaningful change across the community services sector.
