Housing Choices Australia selected as a preferred applicant to deliver 625 new homes under HAFF Round 1

Housing Choices Australia (HCA) is pleased to be selected as a preferred applicant to deliver 625 brand new, well-designed, energy efficient social and affordable homes under Round 1 of the Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF) Facility, supporting more Australians in need of safe and secure affordable housing.

In partnership with various state government housing agencies and investment partners, HCA will deliver 421 social and 204 affordable rental homes across Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania.

These homes will be in prime locations with high housing demand with access to public transport, services, facilities, and life opportunities.

David Fisher, CEO of Housing Choices Australia, said: “The Housing Australia Future Fund is a crucial initiative in expanding urgently needed housing supply across Australia. We are thrilled to join forces with the federal government along with the state agencies and project partners to deliver new homes for Australians facing housing insecurity, and provide safe, affordable accommodation where they can support their families and build good lives.”

“Our homes feature energy-efficient designs to help reduce residents’ energy costs, leaving them funds to spend on other important necessities.”

“They offer community-focused spaces and will cater to residents with diverse housing needs.”

“Together with our valued partners, we are working closely with Housing Australia to finalise contractual arrangements and move forward with delivery of these homes as soon as possible.”
