HCA partners with award winning Catherine House to deliver a bigger and enhanced new generation Catherine House in Adelaide, SA

Housing Choices has partnered with Catherine House Inc to deliver the New Generation Catherine House project, a groundbreaking $32.6 million initiative to support women experiencing homelessness with supoort from the SA Housing Trust.

This purpose-built development will include 52 social housing apartments, offering both 24/7 crisis accommodation and longer-term housing options - ensuring women have safe, stable places to stay as they rebuild their lives.

This state-of-the-art facility will feature a Women’s Respite and Recovery Centre, training spaces, craft and cooking areas, meeting rooms, and a secure outdoor garden. Since its founding in 1988, Catherine House has been a vital refuge for women, and Housing Choices is looking forward to strengthening its partnership with Catherine House established in 2020 with this new project.

The new building will commence in the first half of 2025 with an anticipated move in date for women at the end of 2026.
