Better big bank connects the community

Pacific Link Housing, NSW Central Coast-based community housing provider, is excited to announce the generous donation of a 'Community Connect Van' from Ettalong Beach Bendigo Bank.

This significant contribution will strengthen Pacific Link Housing's ability to connect with tenants and the broader community through its events and activities.

Ian Lynch, CEO of Pacific Link Housing, emphasised the transformative power of community collaboration.

"When the community works together, great things happen. We are incredibly grateful to Bendigo Bank for their donation. Their support exemplifies the spirit of corporate social responsibility and highlights the positive change that can be achieved when businesses and community organisations come together for the benefit of the broader community."

Don Wilson, Director at Ettalong Beach Bendigo Bank, echoed the sentiment of community collaboration, expressing his satisfaction in contributing to this worthwhile project. "As a community bank, we see immense value in supporting local initiatives that bring people together. It is heartwarming to know that this contribution will create positive experiences for Pacific Link Housing's tenants and the wider community," said Pat Italiano, Branch Manager at Ettalong Beach Bendigo Bank.

The exceptional donation of $65,000 by Ettalong Beach Bendigo Bank has made the acquisition, fit-out and three years of operating costs for the 'Community Connect Van' possible. This substantial contribution reflects their dedication to making a lasting impact in the community.

Ettalong Beach Bendigo Bank’s donation was the catalyst for further generous contributions including a $5,000 discount from Booths Motor Group towards the purchase of the van. In-kind contributions worth approximately $5,000 from ARB, Rhino Racks and Redarc were also donated towards the fit-out of the van. This remarkable and collective support showcases the commitment of businesses to support local initiatives and causes.

In addition to these contributions, Pacific Link Housing's events have received generous support from a range of businesses including Westfield Tuggerah, Bunnings, East Coast Beverages, Dominos and Sara Lee. Their donations add an extra touch of community spirit to the events.

The 'Community Connect Van' will be used at tenant engagement events, providing opportunities for tenants to connect with community groups, support agencies and other members of the community. With a reach spanning 1,200 properties from the Central Coast to the Hunter, the van will enable Pacific Link Housing to connect with more tenants and community groups.

Pacific Link Housing is excited about the possibilities that the 'Community Connect Van' offers in forging connections and strengthening communities across their extensive footprint.
